Hi! My name is Lennard Swolfs, a journalism student from the Netherlands. The World Rep program offers me a great opportunity to improve my academic skills, to meet new people all over the world and to learn more about the Australian culture. Besides that, the University of Tasmania focuses on news in a digital age, which helps me to understand my profession better. One day I hope to be a reporter in the Middle East. The University of Tasmania gives me the opportunity to focus my research on this field and thus helps me to prepare myself for the future.

Digital journalism is changing. It's m more than just newspaper articles, it's moving from a broadcasting model to a connecting one. I expect that joining Worldrep will give me opportunity to gain much more tools in my toolbox, master my skills in mass media and journalism and teach me how I could make myself more marketable nowadays.
