Inger Munk heads the International Department of the Danish School of Media and Journalism, and has experience of many years working with projects and organisations within European education. She has been the European coordinator for mobility projects supported by the EU-US, the EU-Canada, the EU-Australia and the EU-NZ programmes. The most recent of these if the Inclusive Journalism Initiative: Reporting Europe and the Asia-Pacific (IJI) which is a consortium of two European and two New Zealand partners. She is coordinator for the Erasmus Mundus Masters Journalism, Media and Globalisation, and is used as a resource person for working groups and for presentation of projects within higher education in Europe. She is Erasmus Institutional coordinator for DMJX, and coordinates the international programmes offered at the Danish School of Media and Journalism Campus Aarhus. These are semester programmes in photo Journalism, Corporate Communication, TV Journalism and Journalism, Multimedia and World Politics. Furthermore, the one year Europe in the World Programme which is offered in cooperation with the journalism school in Utrecht, NL, and offered as part of the WORLDREP project. She has been general secretary for organisations such as the European Journalism Training Association and the Nordic Journalism Training Association.
Before entering DMJX in 1997 she worked as manager of business development projects in the county of Viborg, Denmark, and assisted the County Major in connection with the Viborg County membership of international associations such as the Assembly of European Regions and the North Sea Commission.
